The Pontiac Arena Fund Board is a dedicated group of community members who share a passion for preserving and improving the Shawville Arena. Together, they volunteer their time to organize fundraising events, build community support, and help ensure the arena remains a gathering place for generations to come.
Mike Rusenstrom grew up making memories at the Shawville Arena, playing hockey alongside his brother in the winter and showing cattle at the Shawville Fair. Years later, those traditions continued with his own family, as his son grew up playing hockey at the arena and his daughter shows cattle at the fair.
For Mike, preserving the arena means keeping an important part of our community and its traditions alive for generations to come.
